Viet Nam – Belarus visa exemption agreement takes effect from 30 January
According to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Viet Nam - Belarus multual visa exemption agreement officially takes effect from 30 January 2025.

According to the Agreement between Viet Nam and Belarus Governments signed in December 2023, Belarusian and Vietnamese citizens having valid ordinary passports shall be exempted from visas for 30 days for each entry; the total period of stay within the territory of the other side must not exceed 90 days within one year. The agreement marked a new step forward in the traditional friendship between the two countries, while opening up opportunities for extensive cooperation in many fields. At the same time, it showed the efforts of the Vietnamese Government in facilitating the travel for international tourists in general, and Belarusian tourists in particular, contributing to tourism development and cultural exchange between Viet Nam and Belarus. In 1993, Viet Nam and Belarus signed an agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passport. Since 2015, Belarusian citizens (regardless of passport types) have been unilaterally exempted from visas when entering Viet Nam.
